Discount Codes

You can manage Discount Codes by navigating to:

Tools tab → Financial Center → Discount Codes

This section provides a dashboard summarizing all existing Discount Codes.

2. What types of discounts can I create?

Discounts can be applied in two ways:

• Fixed dollar amount (e.g., $25 off)
• Percentage (e.g., 10% off)
• Note: Discount codes do not apply to optional items like Donations, Insurance, or Optional Registration Form Invoice Items.

3. What settings can I customize when creating a Discount Code?

You can customize:

• Code generation: Automatically generate or manually create codes
• Discount value: Set in dollars or percentage
• Start and end dates
• Usage limits:
  • Limit by date range
  • Limit by number of uses
  • Restrict to specific registrations or people

4. How does the Scope tab work?

The Scope tab allows you to define:

• Who can use the code (selected individuals or all players)
• Whether the code is single-use or can be used multiple times
  • Once a code is used some settings or scopes may be locked, e.g.,
    • Its purpose becomes locked (cannot change from specific to any-purpose use)
    • The associated user(s) are locked in. A person who has used the code cannot be removed.

5. How are discount codes used during registration or payment?

During checkout, the user can enter a discount code. The system will:

• Verify that the code is valid and available
• Apply the discount to eligible invoice line items
• If the discount value exceeds the total of eligible items, those items will be marked as paid and the code will be marked as used and nused value is voided.
